The Formation of the Concept of Emerging Power in International Relations

This work discusses the formation of the concept ofemerging powerin the field of International Relations. The adjective emerging has been “stretched” beyond the connotative range of the financial terminology emerging marketand has “travelled” to denote those rising players in the international order.
